Origins and the "R-Dot"
Master Shaper: Rusty Preisendorfer began shaping boards in Southern California during the 1970s, eventually gaining massive acclaim working for Canyon Surfboards.
The Breakaway: In 1985, he branched out on his own to launch Rusty Surfboards, backed by a strong backlog of core surfer orders.
